The Hearing Rehabilitation Foundation (HRF) and University of South Florida (USF) will co-host the Sixth International Adult Aural Rehabilitation Conference in St. Pete Beach, Florida from May 23 - 25, 20011.  The HRF is delighted to once again have the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at USF as a co-sponsor of this important conference, and look forward to another exciting and informative meeting.

Past meetings have offered participants a unique chance to become aware of work being conducted around the world.  We've had participants from Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, England, Ireland, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and the United States at previous meetings, and look forward to welcoming a large international contingent in St. Pete Beach.   The conference gives participants the chance to meet colleagues from around the world and discuss areas of mutual interest and possible collaborations.  The theme of the meeting is, “Making AR an Integral Part of Audiological Practice,” a topic of interest for many researchers and clinicians, and our faculty of invited speakers will all address this important concept.  This theme will also be addressed in a special half-day presentation by representatives of the Academy of Rehabilitative Audiology.

Invited Speakers at the conference will include:

Mary-Beth Jennings, University of Western Ontario, London, Canada

Sophia Kramer, VU University Medical Center, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Updates on additional invited speakers will be posted on this website as well as the Hearing Rehabilitation Foundation's Facebook page.

We will also have a large number of contributed papers by researchers and practitioners from the US and internationally.  In short, this is an exceptional program, and we hope to see you there!

Registration details are available as a PDF.  Please note that the special rate for students is available upon application.

We look forward to seeing you in St. Pete Beach in 2011!

You can also review the organizer's report and photo gallery from last year's conference as well.
